Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. Rita Sahatciu Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina (Kosovo) to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. She is the granddaughter of director Besim Sahatciu. At the age of one, her family made the decision to move to England. She was born in West London, attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court and graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School. She began singing at a young age.In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. After a successful audition for Eurovision The Country That Needs You (BBC One), she was chosen to represent Britain in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. She eventually walked out of the competition after a few episodes because she felt that the stage wasn't prepared. In 2007, Ora had her first music album when she performed on Craig David's track titled "Awkward" and again in 2008 on "Where's Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder. For this track, she also appears in the music video. Ora started singing in bars throughout London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z An A&R representative inform Roc Nation about Ora. Ora appeared in Jay-Z's 2009 music video for "Young Forever" as well as "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z took note of Ora and quickly signed her to Roc Nation. She was included in a commercial starring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was the owner of a pub and she started her singing performances from the same bar. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a bar owner and she began her singing performances from the same pub. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran are good friends.
