conceived in Los Angeles on September 20, 1970. Her parents relocated to
Dallas, Texas shortly after her birth. She graduated from Booker T. Washington
High School of the Performing and Visual Arts in downtown Dallas. She completed
her BFA in acting from Stephens College, and also trained at the British
American Drama Academy. She was employed for six years by Dallas Theatre Center
as well as one year at Encore Company. She started her acting career in
theaters before her big screen debut. Her credits on stage include "As You
Like It""A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to The Forum”
"Measure for Measure", and "Chicago" and
"Chicago" as well as many other productions. Her most memorable
performance was in Michael Cristofer's HBO telefilm Gia (1998), opposite
Angelina Jolie. She made her famous to both critics and viewers. After that,
she starred in the sci-fi time travel adventure Frequency (2000) featuring
Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute's much-anticipated Nurse Betty (2000) opposite
Renee Zellweger, Elizabeth showed her impressive acting abilities. Elizabeth
Mitchell has many credits in television shows, theaters as well as films. She
continues to be an excellent actor. During filming Frequency ((2000)), she
injured her nose. In 1994, she appeared in a Hertz Rent-A-Car commercial but
"they took it down because of the O.J. thing." Living with David Lee
Smith, ex-Brent from One Life to Live (1968), in Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Their parents are real estate agents from Dallas and tax lawyers who have their
own firm. They are located just 5 blocks from their Dallas home. They returned
to the U.S. from Europe after a lengthy run as Rosalind in a stage production
"As You Like It". Soon after her birth in LA in 1970, her parents
moved to Dallas, Texas. She attended Booker T. Washington High School of the
Performing and Visual Arts in the city of Dallas, Texas. She graduated from
Stephens College in 1991 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
Participated in Man and Boy (2002) alongside Ioan Gruffudd. It ran on BBC 1 TV
in March 2002.
