Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, provides easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell has also worked at several of the most prestigious eateries in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After obtaining an English and Communications degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable opportunity for me. I just couldn't get enough enjoyment from the experience. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year learning at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian culture and cuisine throughout her time in Italy and this has affected the way she cooks. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for juvenile diabetes awareness. She has been a frequent speaker at conferences and travels the country in her mentorship task. Anne always felt fortunate that she had the opportunity to share her love of her life, cooking with others.
